We finally managed to perfect our Bicycle Blender. Isn’t she lovely? She’s hand-made using a recycled bicycle training stand, a flexible drive shaft, pannier seat rack, blender and a bit of mdf.
The average electric powered blender can use anything from 400-600 watts (around 10 people pedaling on our bicycle generators). Powered by just one person, our blender is much more energy efficient and the lucky pedaler even gets a free drink for his efforts. You can also connect the roller to various extensions to transform all sorts of appliances into pedal-powered gadgets, from coffee grinders to screwdrivers. Get manual.
We’re going to wait for some homegrown fruit to come back in to season before we take the blender on the road but you might see a smoothie maker on your street this summer. We’re hoping to make a few more over of them over the next couple of months so if anyone is interested in getting hold of one of the first run of Bicycle Blenders then send us an email.
If you’d rather make one yourself, we’ll also be putting up a step-by-step guide on our DIY page in the next couple of weeks.

Dear delightful Magnificent Revvers!!
Serious class as always (now the smoothies, yesss!). Platt Fields Park definately needs some smoothie pedal powered magic going on- maybe we will buy some from you to use at some of our many centenary celebration events or with some guidance make our own? Would be very interested finding out costs etc.
Hope you’re all amazing, come to the north soon please!
