We’re a few blogs behind and there is so much to say and so many people that really deserve a mention on our website…Let’s start with two new additions to the Mag Rev’s family. They’re lads, Matt and David (pictured throughout). They’re both a pleasure to work with and certainly know their stuff! They support MR immensely and we’d like to give them the limelight they so rightly deserve.
Dr.Little is the power electronics & all small and big renewable wonders clever kid. We came across some interesting installations in his workshop involving tiny bicycles, getting the munchkins interested in renewables. From solar cookers, to pedal powered blenders and water guns…you name it, he’s done it. Definitely check out his website re-innovation to read about some of the great projects, check out his plans, info and ideas, especially the no weld bicycle generator stand guide/manual! Matt has recently came back from the Philippines installing wind and hydro set ups for remote villages. What a man! Also, totally off the renewable and bike related lines ….we think Matt has way too many records and should release some of those copies into the musical world (or at least into my collection
…… Go on son, set the music free….
Now onto number two, Mr. Massey. With 20 years in manufacturing and a degree in product design you can imagine he would be very useful to us here at Mag Rev. We’ve been slowing picking his brains and tapping into his wealth of experience to get some good bike gen stand designs. David managed to take the cycling experience to another level with his amazing Trail Cat. Trail cat is an all terrain bike aiming to make cycling more inclusive. David designed and built this beast himself. I had a go, it’s wicked: four wheels, disc brakes, and air suspension. We need more people like David making cycling accessible to all. Why rob some of the beautiful experience of man and machine working together? David managed to build a tandem tricycle for a kid with cerebral palsy and it transformed the way he thought about bikes and how for some people two wheeled beast just won’t do.
