We visited Brentford School for Girls in Hounslow this morning to run a class on bicycle generators, the environment and climate change. We’re happy to report the girls were on top form and passed with flying colours. At the end, we all agreed to go off and each do something about our impact on the environment.
The actions ranged from ‘writing to the head teacher to get more recycling bins ‘ to ‘learning to ride a bike’. Adam and Babs even decided to not buy any plastic products for a month (and hopefully beyond)! Babs and Adam were so keen that they are not going to ever buy packets of crisps, unless they start packaging those crispy delights in something else (highly unlikely). We wish them luck with this tricky task. Think about it… no coffee cup lids, no toothpaste tubes, no bread bags… no chocolate bars!
We’ll be checking up on all of our agreements over the next few weeks to make sure that we’re all sticking to our promises and be giving you weekly updates of how the Magnificent Revolutionarys’ month without plastic goes. The girls are also going to record diaries and notes about how they got on with their tasks they set for themselves. Go girls!
