Bike Powered Gig! Monday 2nd July!
Ben manages to blag a rickshaw from work and bikes his amp, guitar, effects peddles, microphone and a massive keyboard over the workshop. It’s time to give biking and powering something more interesting than a stereo, laptop and a bulb a go. His amp is rated at 130W, but as expected, on average it uses much less than this and one bike, with a single ultracapacitor, is enough to power it. Apparently it’s a bit like patting your head and rubbing your belly at the same time, but Ben soon manageds to pick up playing and peddling…
So with the our new inverter, 15 motors and 15 conversion pins on order, we’re confident that we’re ready for powering some gigs to start giving the kit some kind of ‘field test’. The Portland Arms does us yet another favour and we’re pleased to announce…

Call for submission for The Magnificent Revolutionary Cycling Cinema @ The Big Chill 2007
We are looking for short and feature length films to show at The Magnificent Revolutionary Cycling Cinema http://cyclecinema.wordpress.com a cycle powered cinema at The Big Chill Festival http://www.bigchill.net which runs from the 3rd till the 5th of August. The films will be screened in a 200 capacity cinema tent in a secluded (i.e. quite) spot on The Big Chill Art Trail http://www.bigchill.net/story/2050/arttrail.html
We particularly like films that address issues of climate change, sustainability and the green-revolution and we love films about DIY, arts and bike culture. Also we really love films that are just plain fun.
